About Dj Woody LongBiography Woody Long, born in 1975, grew up in Eeklo, a small city near Gent. His grandparents owned a discoteque. So, already at the age of 12 he spend a lot of time in the party"atmosphere". He moved to Ghent in the early nineties. Just beeing in the party"atmosphere was'nd good enough... Every weekend you could find him in several big clubs of that time in Belgium like Boccaccio, The Globe, Jerry's, etc. etc. he also worked At The Villa where he got to learn dj Johan, his role model. It was there he examened the dj's while they ware playing. He starded playing at a friends home and practiced everything he saw in those clubs... Very shortly after that, he played the opening at the afterclub "Axiome" in Pecq, with the very few records he had. Somewhere around '97,he discovered that happy kind of Swing house called "Jackin"house that found his origin in Chicago(USA) and starded playing at the H2o. His first residency came in '98 at G-spot ( Kortrijk) where he stand side by side with big names like Ollivier Abbeloos, Murvin Jay, Ian pooley,Prinz, Varry etc. etc. A year later he moved to France to "Hem" near Lille. Where he became resident for "Coxwen" a clothing company for the french nightlife. He even became resident at the Mum's Bar(gayclub) in Lille, where he played friday at the same time. He travelled as tour resident for Coxwen and played in several clubs trough France (Paris, Douai, Dunquerke, Montpellier, Perpignan etc. etc.). He moved to Bourg-Madame (south-France near Andorra), there he played across-border clubs in Puigcerda (Spain) and Toulouse (France) once a month until 2001. Then he returned to Belgium and took a break. At the end of 2003 he went to Alpe d'huez to work where the "spinning" microbe struck again, and became resident at "Cave de l'alpe" and "l'Igloo". After the season, he returned home and there he got the opportunity to play at "Decadance" (Ghent) where he still plays several times a month. Half-way 2009 he became resident for a Chicago"jackin"house concept in Belgium. Bookings from allover the Globe are passing the venue and play(ed) already in 17 country's.
